the great Scandinavian raiders, our Viking sword is a no nonsense 27 inch
broad bladed cutting tool. The heavy Brazil nut styled pommel and straight
cross guard balance out the fullered blade allowing one to utilize a shield in
the off hand.

Called Hand and a
Half Swords due to its lengthy handle, this style of sword saw great
popularity in Europe north of the Alps in the second half of the 15th
century. This 27-inch sword blade is quite versatile and capable of being
wielded either one handed to allow the footman the use of the second hand
for a shield or a second weapon, or two handed for tremendous power with the
capacity to rend chain mail with great ease. The solid steel guard gives
more than adequate hand protection while parrying swords and axe blows and
the wheel pommel gives the whole sword a well balanced feel.
A custom leather scabbard is included with this sword.

With its fully forged
31 inch diamond cross section blade, this straight double edged sword has
the speed and mass to cleave limbs and splinter shields like the swords of
legend. Common through out the 14th and into the 15th century, swords of
this type are depicted in the German fencing master Hans Talhoffer’s famous
fencing manual. Though perfectly suited for being wielded with one hand the
hard wood handle and scent stopper pommel offer enough room to double up on
the grip for greater power when needed. Capable of great speed and power
these swords would be more than adequate to see the skilled swordsman through
any conflict. A leather scabbard is included with this sword.

top part of the handle has a custom finger grooved grip, the bottom half is
smooth and tapered. The handle is separated with a solid steel spacer ring. The handle length
is 10" overall.
